I'm sitting at the Urologist office for a check up after having had kidney stones last year and one stone that's decided to stay, lying dormant in my kidney. The nurse gives me the requisite cup and asks for a sample. I said, "I have nothing to give." She checks my blood pressure and pulse and I wait for the doctor. Luckily I have my kindle and it opens to my current book which is called Wellness On a Shoestring. I'm all for that. The doctor in the book, Dr. Michelle Robin says that we need adequate sleep and to drink alot of water. Hmm. Can you say synchronicity?! Her calculation for consumption is to take our weight, divide in half and drink that number in ounces..say what! I certainly would have had "something to give" had I started my day on that regimen. I do agree that water intake is essential and am enjoying her advice on other matters. She's taken a Zen approach to health which works for me. I sometimes forget to stay in the moment, particularly when I feel the world is spinning too rapidly with life changes; wanted or unwanted. I am looking forward to reading more and I'll let you know other tidbits of health offerings. But for now...I'm off to the loo....
